“Good Road Recovery” Care Cottages , Expansion

The phase II Good Road Recovery residential care cottages are 7,312 square foot facilities completed within the on-going 22-acres MHA Nation’s Good Road Recovery Center campus, located in Bismarck. Two care cottages were completed in phase I of the masterplan, and phase II includes two additional cottages. Each cottage provides long term care facilities for 8 residents, which can be expanded to 16 residents each if needed. The cottages provide additional support and space for individuals undergoing treatment at the adjacent outpatient treatment center.
Phase II cottages were updated to address staff recommendations, the program now includes 6 double sleeping rooms, 4 intake sleeping rooms, laundry facilities, and communal dining space. Also included in the modified design, a “zoom” room was provided for private tele-health and virtual meetings with resident’s loved ones. Constructed with high quality material such as triple glazed energy efficient windows, reclaimed lumber, and an ICC 500 tornado shelter to provide comfort and security to residents and staff.
