“Sage Coulee” Satellite Outreach Wellness Facility – Bismarck, ND

At the heart of MHA Nation’s Bismarck campus, Sage Coulee Outreach and Wellness facility, a 13,000 SF, 2-story building plays a central role as MHA Nation’s local outreach facility and much more. The idea of this facility has come to life, with a focus on the health and wellbeing of its elder members in particular, and a vision to improve the overall health of the community.

The facility is located in the Memory First Addition, across the street from the Good Road Recovery Center treatment program and Healing Hearts Lodge transitional living facility in Bismarck, ND. With a welcoming wood glulam entry canopy that has become a MHA signature, the building invites new visitors and returning members to its cathedral ceiling pre-function space and intimate reception area where you would be directed to one of the multiple programs and services provided. Included within the facilities program are multi-use conference and meeting areas, Tribal Executive office, medical health exam, and full-service fitness and exercise area with traditional Sweat Lodge saunas and locker rooms.

Building Systems include long lasting composite concrete and metal siding, high efficiency wood-aluminum composite windows with triple glazing, a ground source geothermal HVAC system, LED lighting throughout and an on-site emergency diesel emergency generator to provide back-up electrical power to the building’s critical systems.
