SATELLITE OUTREACH & WELLNESS FACILITY

MHA Nation

At the heart of MHA Nation’s Sage Coulee Development in Bismarck, ND is the Satellite Outreach and Wellness facility, a 13,000 SF, two story building offering enrolled tribal members central access to a collection of programs and resources. The vision of this facility has come to life, with a focus on the health and wellbeing of its elder members, and a vision to improve the overall health of its members and the community.
The facility is in the Memory First Addition, within walking distance of the Good Road Recovery Center treatment program and Healing Hearts Lodge transitional living facility. With a welcoming wood glulam entry canopy that has become an MHA signature, the building invites new visitors and returning members to its high-glass clerestory pre-function space and intimate reception area where you would be directed to one of the multiple programs and services provided within. Included within the facilities program are multi-use conference and meeting rooms, Tribal Executive office, medical health exam, and full-service fitness and exercise area with traditional Sweat Lodge saunas and locker rooms.
Building Systems include long lasting composite concrete and metal siding, high efficiency wood-aluminum composite windows with triple glazing, a ground source geothermal HVAC system, LED lighting throughout and an on-site emergency diesel generator to provide back-up electrical power to the building’s critical systems.
